that we are insatiable
               and hunger unabated
               for all that is obtainable
and when we get it we're unsated

               hunger comes from being empty
               wanting fullness, wanting plenty
that your heart has got a
and we seek to fill what has been stole

               but all our plain desires
we have at hand to fill it
               we find advertised on flyers
and they just deepen the pit

we seek pleasure in our senses
               but the consequence is
               to engage in pretences
               indulging our nonsenses

               we worship ourselves
               power, fame, and identity
               in vain attempts
               to mimic serenity

but the more that you chase
               the more you hunger
               for you cannot be filled
               while you are sundered

               there is but one way
               to come to be satiated
               to be open and ungrasping
               and completely sated
