our differences are cultural

we are plastic thinking machines
we can grow and change beyond our genes
our experiences shape our thoughts
tying us in or out of knots

this place is filled with gender norms
which we learn as standard forms
they incline and disincline us to
culture lessons we're put through

the gender differences we perceive
are not innate, but are achieved
they're culturally inculcated
as we walk the world, they're created

but bio-determinism
is just a thought and not a prison
for our culture can be changed
and our minds then rearranged
