equality of experience

left arrow

each and all of us
see ourselves primarily
and the trials of others
we treat and view warily

but everyone out here's feeling
in the same manner we are
and all our inner worlds
have vibrancy on par

we feel our own emotions deeply
but only glimpse the states of others
we hold ourselves discreetly
and are best seen by our lovers

we can be fooled thus
seeing ourselves paramount
and all others being strangers
for whom we may discount

but none of us are first here
we all feel in equal measure
although we hold ourselves dear
each of us feels pleasure

ours is experiential equality
for all who here reside
in this constructed polity
make good and not divide
